Canada’s Robbie Price Leads The Charge For The Royal Purple NSRA Sprint Series Going Into Diamond Cup Weekend
By Ben Deatherage
Cobble Hill, British Columbia- One of the most versatile drivers in Pacific Northwest will look to obtain his first career Diamond Cup as the Royal Purple NSRA Sprints invade Idaho’s Meridian Speedway on Friday June 3rd and Saturday the 4th.  That driver is third-generation star Robbie Price from Cobble Hill, British Columbia, Canada.  Price, in the Rod Rendell owned Shark Racing Engines/Taylor Metal Craft/Millstone Heating and Sheetmetal #14 Beast, leads the series in total points after one event.
“I’m hoping for a good weekend,” said Price, “We ran Meridian last year and I found that it’s a tricky place but I’m hyped to continue our momentum from Ephrata.”
This will be Robbie’s second race this season on pavement.  He won in his first outing back in May at Ephrata Raceway Park.  Price is coming off of an impressive fifth place finish on dirt at Cottage Grove Speedway for the Marvin Smith Memorial Grove Classic.
Both Friday and Saturday the Pit Gates open at 10:30 AM, Push To Fire at 2:30 PM, Practice Rotation 2:45, Front Gates open at 4:00, and Racing is scheduled to being at 6:30. General admission for Friday night’s festivities is just $15.50 for adults, $6.50 for kids 7-11, and as always kids 6 and under are free. Tickets for Saturday night’s action are $18.50 for adults.
